2025 Distinguished Juror: Amy MacLennan
Amy MacLennan returned to her hometown to be the Curator at the Swope Art Museum in Terre Haute, Indiana in 2021. Before then she was Chair of the McKendree University Department of Art, in Lebanon, Illinois, where she taught painting, drawing, printmaking, design, and art history, and was Director of the McKendree University Gallery of Art. Summers, she would sometimes teach drawing and watercolor classes at Interlochen Center for the Arts, in Interlochen, Michigan.
MacLennan enjoyed her experiences as artist-in-residence at Prairie Center of the Arts, in Peoria, Illinois; Jentel, in northern Wyoming; Montana Artists Refuge, and Eye-Land Coordination in Montana, where she concentrated on plein air painting and avoiding bears.
She was a graphic designer and illustrator for University Publications at Indiana State University before completing her MFA in painting and drawing at ISU, in Terre Haute, Indiana in 2007. She is married to the painter, Michael Neary.
