 Family Paint Out

Artists and Families are invited to paint outdoors throughout Hamilton County. Professionally judged, $1,000 Best of Show. Cash prizes and ribbons will be awarded to the winners in all Plein Air Mediums. Paintings will be for sale.

Artist of the Month

Special thanks to the Hamilton County Convention and Visitors Bureau for hosting our program at the Noblesville Visitors Center. This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the work of our talented local artists for our community and visitors to enjoy. Stop by to visit at 839 Conner Street Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm and Sundays from 1 to 5 pm. Look for a new featured artist each month!

Welcome to the

Hamilton County Artists' Association

The HCAA is a membership of Hamilton County artists with supporters from across Indiana. Our gallery is open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm during the months of March through December.

Our mission is: (1) to promote awareness of, and encouragement for, creative art in Hamilton County.  (2) To further by programs, art education and exhibitions, the interests of artists, (4) to encourage the study of art by all.  (4) To establish high aesthetic standards.  (5)To cooperate with, and promote membership in other similar organizations.

Our exhibits feature creative works from Hamilton County artists. We offer scholarships to aspiring high school art students.  Our gift shop has many unique art items for purchase. Browse our

2012 Gathering Begins Thursday, May 31st

Activities for the 2012 Gathering of Plein Air Painters begin Thursday, May 31st at the Hamilton County Art Center, 195 S 5th St., Noblesville, IN with a social hour at 6:00 pm followed by a painting demonstration at 7:00 pm by plein air artist Mary Ann Davis

Mary Ann is a signature member of the American Impressionist Society. She earned her BFA from Herron School of Art in 1976, majoring in lithography. She enjoys painting and drawing from life each week and regularly paints plein air. Mary Ann was one of ten artists chosen for the Painting Indiana, The Changing Face of Agriculture project. This project included a traveling exhibit and book. She has worked as a graphic designer since 1978 and founded Davis Graphic Design in 1991. Her work can be seen at several galleries including Hoosier Salon, Indianapolis, IN and Brown County Art Guild, Nashville, IN. 

At 8:00 pm, following the demonstration, there will be an orientation of packet materials and Hamilton County sites and services. Beginning at 8:30 pm, artists will be able to get their materials stamped.

May, 2012 Artist of the Month 

William Duncan

Noblesville artist William Duncan has been an active painter since 1990, creating works of art in a contemporary style. His landscape paintings include an emphasis on exciting color. He has studied under contemporary masters Tony Couch, Skip Lawrence, Don Andrews, Christopher Schink and Frank Webb. William is a member of the HCAA, Indiana Artists Club, Hoosier Salon, and Watercolor Society of Indiana. His works have won many merit and purchase awards and are in several private collections. See his work on display at the Noblesville Visitors Center throughout May.
