Recycled Animal Portraits

Description
Kids learn ways to repurpose waste, including cardboard and paper materials. Construct an animal 3-dimensionally and create a collaged animal portrait from magazines and paper scraps. Together we will explore the ways artist use shape, texture and form to recreate life. This workshop is for elementary ages. Supply List: All materials will be provided by the instructor. Dates: Tuesday, October 13, 2026 Time: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm Age Requirements: Children (12 and under) Artist Bio: Heather Ray Boelke is a central Indiana artist and art educator. She has been teaching visual art locally since 2012, and has a passion for connecting communities through arts experiences. Boelke specializes in watercolor and collage techniques, studying natural and nostalgic themes. She became a published illustrator in 2023 and a Juried Member of HCAA in 2024. Her free time is spent exploring and creating with her husband and three young daughters.
