About the event
Captured Light 2026: Metered A Juried Photography Exhibition
What happens when photographers work with intention; measuring light, choosing moments with precision, exercising restraint? Metered brings together work defined by deliberate craft and purposeful vision.
This juried exhibition, selected by guest juror Nick Carver, showcases both analog and digital photography from local and regional artists. Accepted work demonstrates technical control, conceptual clarity, and the kind of thoughtfulness that separates a photograph from a snapshot. About Our Guest Juror: Nick Carver is a large format photographer and educator known for his technical mastery and contemplative approach to the craft. Working primarily with large format cameras, his work emphasizes deliberate process, meticulous composition, and the discipline required to make meaningful photographs. Through his YouTube channel and workshops, Nick has become a respected voice in the analog photography community, teaching the fundamentals of large format technique and the philosophical underpinnings of intentional image-making.
