Birch Tree Winter Project
with Raka Kingsland - December 13, 2025 at 1:00 pm
Description
Monet loved painting outside (plein air) and was fascinated by how light affects color. Although famous for his series of paintings of haystacks and lily pads, Monet painted many winter landscapes. This lesson has been inspired by his painting The Magpie. In the lesson, students will focus on color, implied form, and texture as they create their own winter landscape, featuring beautiful birch trees. Date: Saturday, December 13 Time: 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm Age Requirements: Children (5-12) and Teens (13-17), no experience required Supplies provided.
