People are recognized as the universally most challenging subject, but you can become comfortable capturing anyone's portrait by understanding a few key techniques. I will dive into these techniques in a way that can be grasped at any level, leaving you with information you can use immediately and practice over a lifetime. Supply List: Gamsol + container Paper towel Medium-small long-handled filbert brushes, any variety ︎Palette knife 6x 12x16" primed canvas/linen panels (my favorite is senso clear primed) Box for wet paintings Rembrandt oil paint: titanium white, cad yellow medium, cadmium red, burnt sienna, transparent oxide brown, indathrene blue, ivory black Lunch on your own. Date: August 28-30, 2025 Time: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm Age Requirements: 16+ with beginning to intermediate experience (Individual instruction will be catered to each person's level) Artist Bio: My name is Kate Orr. For over ten years I have studied and worked as a professional artist - learning from artists all over the States and participating in art exhibitions nationally and internationally. Cancellation within seven or more days' notice prior to the start date of the 1st class is 95% refunded (represents 5% transaction fee). Cancellation with two to six days' notice is 45% refunded (includes 5% transaction fee). Cancellation with less than 24 hours notice is 0% refunded but registration is transferrable.
