About
I was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. I graduated from Miami of Ohio University in 1967 with a Bachelor's in Fine Arts degree in Design. I married Grant Tyler and spent 19 years as an Air Force wife before we retired in Fishers, IN. He passed away in 1986. I started working for the Girl Scouts of C
Hoosier Capitol [now Girl Scouts of Central Indiana] in 1988 and retired as Director of Program Development in 2010. I started taking watercolor classes at the Indianapolis Art Center in 1995 and found my passion for watercolor there. As a member of HCAA I have worked to make art important in Hamilton County and have served as Nominations Chair, Membership Chair, Chair of various exhibits and events, Vice Chair and Chair of the organization. I am also a member of the Watercolor Society of Indiana. I am a member of the Conner Prairie Alliance which operates the Apple Store at Conner Prairie to help raise funds for the improvement of many areas at the historical site, and have served in various positions in that organization. I am a member of Noblesville First United Methodist Church where I sing in the choir and serve on the Alter Guild. I don't have any particular focus in my painting, but paint whatever interests me at the moment. I have won awards in HCAA which include honorable mention, first and second places and Best in Show and was accepted into the Watercolor Society Annual Juried Exhibit.
