About the Class

In this workshop, students will first study how to start painting using a quote from Delacroix on "sacrifice in art". Then, we will look at a master work of a still-life, discussing what makes the painting work with regard to composition. Then, students will be given individualized instruction as we paint a still-life for a couple of hours. Time-permitting, the class will close with a briefly sharing our work together. All painting levels and abilities are welcome as it will allow us to open ourselves to learning from each with the experiences we each bring! If the class on 1/25 is cancelled due to weather, it will be rescheduled for 2/1.
