DESCRIPTION
If you’ve had the “if only I could paint!” thought circulating around in your head, it’s time to leave excuses at the door and bravely pick up a paintbrush! With nearly two decades of teaching experience, I will use this three-day workshop to demystify the process of painting and guide you toward creating vibrant and beautiful oil paintings. We’ll cover basic concepts such as composition, value, and color mixing within the genres of still life and landscape. This class is modeled after the ‘Daily Painting’ movement where we’ll run through the entire painting process multiple times using small panels. The course will include clear step-by-step instruction of the painting process, live painting demonstrations, group discussion, and individual feedback/encouragement for each attendee. By the end of this course, you will have a solid base of experience as well as additional resources in hand to equip you to continue on in your painting journey. This is a perfect launching point if you’ve ever wanted to paint with oils. It’s never too late to start learning to paint. Stop finding excuses. There’s never been a better time to be brave, let's grab some brushes and get to work!
