Barb McEvoy

A lifetime passion for gardening, led to my experimenting with pressing different kinds of flowers and plant material. Through membership in the World Wide Pressed Flower Guild, I pursue an in depth study of Oshibana Art.  (The Japanese art form of creating a picture with pressed plant material).  With pressed botanicals, I create designs of still life, landscapes, wildlife, pets, and humans.  My clients commission art from me to preserve flowers from weddings, memorials, and other special occasions.   I also create three dimensional pressed floral art that includes jewelry, and decorative items. In 2012 I formed Impressive Floral Designs, LLC, for marketing my Pressed Flower Art.  My awards received for artwork, include HCAA Annual Exhibit Favorite Picture and Artist,  "All our Best Exhibit" First Place and Honorable Mention, and a First Place award, in Cool Creek Nature Park 2019 Annual Exhibit.
