Stephanie Spay

Stephanie Spay is an Indiana based oil painter with a constant passion for the figure and portrait, an enthusiasm for still life, and a fascination for landscape. She was drawn to art at a very tender age and has been smitten with the relationship ever since. The moments she seeks in paint are intimate, personal, and relatable. She works primarily in oil and draws her inspiration from children, family, and nature. She splits her time as an artist between work in her studio and home educating her two young boys. Stephanie is a graduate of Herron School of Art and has continued her education through workshops with modern masters, such as Daniel Gerhartz, and constant exposure to fine art. She draws influence from the intimacy of classical painters and the decided color and brushwork of the Impressionists. She is a member of The Hoosier Salon, The Hamilton County Artists Association, and the Portrait Society of America. She was juried into the 2018 Art of the Expression at the Anderson Museum of Art and the 2018 The Hoosier Salon 94th Annual Exhibition at the Indiana State Museum. Her work can be found at the Birdie Gallery in Noblesville, Indiana and the Hoosier Salon in Carmel, Indiana.
