I grew up in Indy, and took art classes all thru my school years.in 12th grade I got second place county wide in the 500 arts festival. I joined the air force after high school and haven't gone to college. I would visit local galleries & when I saw some art I liked, I would take workshops from the artists that made them. I have taken classes at the Indy Art Center in oil painting, acrylic, airbrush, photography, and welding. I have to give credit to my dad. He was a patient craftsman & loved to work with wood and built a model ship plank by plank. My mother used to make and decorate bird houses. So there is definitely a line of creativity there. I really like the art opportunities that are available in Hamilton county. So, being juried into the HCAA was a really great accomplishment for me. So many new doors are opening for me, and being around all these talented artists & learning new things is just what I was looking for.
