A lifetime passion for gardening, led to experimenting with pressing different kinds of flowers and plant material. Through membership in the World Wide Pressed Flower Guild, I have been able to make an in depth study of Oshibana Art. (The Japanese art form of creating a picture with pressed plant material). With pressed botanicals, I create designs in still life, landscapes, and animals. My clients often commission art from me that uses and preserves flowers from weddings, memorials, and other special occasions. Three dimensional pressed floral art includes jewelry, and decorative items. In 2012, I formed Impressive Floral Designs, LLC, for marketing the artist’s Pressed Flower Art.
